Installing Firefox 4 on Ubuntu 10.04 and Ubuntu 10.10


Have you ever wondered how to install the latest Mozilla Firefox 4 on your Ubuntu operating system? It's actually very easy by using the PPA method. Here are the steps to install the Mozilla Firefox by using this method.

1. Add the Firefox Stable PPA. To do this copy the command below the terminal.
    (To open terminal, press CTRL+ALT+T or find it from the Applications > Accessories > Terminal)
   
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
2. Then, update the software list by pasting the command below in the terminal.

sudo apt-get update 

3. Finally, install the Firefox 4 by using the command below.

sudo apt-get install firefox

Now, Firefox browser has been installed on your system. To open it, go to Applications > Internet > Firefox Web Browser. You may also create a shortcut link on your desktop.
